When I start it up there is no knocking at all until a few minutes pass an the engine is warm. The knocking sounds almost like something flapping in the wind onto the frame, but I can't see anything that would be flapping. I've always maintained the bike well. I've looked around on my bike, tightened the cassette, re-greased the seat post and looked for anything else that could be causing the noise. Does it make this noise every time you push in on the clutch, or just when coasting? If it always makes noise when you push in the clutch, it could be the throw out bearing. Any idea what this knocking sound is? (this is MK2 '11 with 10k on the clock) It never happens when the engine is cold. Is only audible when the bike is stationary or when "coasting" it in neutral or with clutch pulled at low speeds.
